Austin Nichols is working with a stable, well-established consumer goods manufacturer located in the Springfield Missouri area that is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer.  This new position has been created because of current and expected growth. This organization has been in business for well over
50 years and has a long history of extremely long tenure with their employees.  The company has numerous plants throughout the U.S. and due to recent changes, could be expanding beyond those soon. 
 
This is a growing business with a strong commitment to their customer base and to their employees.  They have strong margins and positive cash flow. Under the direction of new ownership, in his previous portfolio of (120) products he grew the business by 4,000% over (14) years.
 
The Manufacturing Project Engineer will have a variety of responsibilities that include, but not limited to:
  • Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals.
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases.
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress.
  • Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, plan and schedule.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
 
This individual will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.  This position requires 75% travel to plants located in (5) States.  
 
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility or site construction experience is required.
  • Manufacturing Methods and Procedures experience is required.
  • BS degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Quantitative Analysis is required.  
  • Design, Process Improvement experience.
  • CAD, CAD/CAM and circuit design experience.
