Austin Nichols, one of Kansas City's premier recruiting firms, is seeking a Research Recruiting Specialist for its growing research department.  Founded in 1988, Austin Nichols is the Kansas City leader in direct hire engineering and manufacturing recruiting.  We have been named Kansas City “Small Business of the Year” five times and a National Blue Chip Award winner (National Small Business of the Year) once.  This is a newly created position as a result of an outstanding market and growing customer base.

The Research Recruiting Specialist will perform recruiting activities to assist consultants in filling job openings for the area's top rated engineering and manufacturing organizations.  Recruitment responsibilities include lead generation through Internet and social media research, applicant building through database utilization, and candidate sourcing through telephone communication and networking.  This position offers a lot of variety and requires a creative skillset.

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong Internet and computer skills are required.  Experience using LinkedIn, job boards, or other social media sources in a work or school environment is strongly preferred.
  • A self-motivated, driven individual with the ability to learn through on-the-job training will have the highest level of success within our environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Previous experience in recruiting or sales is preferred, but not required.
